Total Investment: 948.5 Billion Yuan! 10 High-Speed Rail Projects Set to Commence Within the Year

Beijing-Hong Kong High-Speed Rail - Xiong'an New Area to Shangqiu Section:

Status: Currently in the environmental assessment publicity period by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, expected to commence construction in the first half of 2022.

Investment: 81.08 billion yuan.

Overview: The line starts from Xiong'an Station of the Beijing-Xiong'an Intercity Railway, passing through Hebei's Xiong'an New Area, Cangzhou, Hengshui, Xingtai, Shandong's Liaocheng, Henan's Puyang, Shandong's Jining, Heze, and ends at Shangqiu Station of the Shangqiu-Hefei-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway. The main line is 552.5 km long with 14 stations, including 11 new ones.

 

Jiujiang to Nanchang Section:

Status: The second environmental assessment announcement has been completed, and construction is expected to commence in 2022.

Investment: 31.59 billion yuan.

Overview: Located in northern Jiangxi, the line starts from Jiuxiang District in Jiujiang and ends in Nanchang County, passing through various districts and counties in Jiangxi.

 

Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Rail (Along the Yangtze River):

Status: A video conference was held to ensure the project's commencement before the end of the year. The total length is about 1,955 km with a total investment of about 530 billion yuan and a design speed of 350 km/h.

 

Shanghai to Nanjing to Hefei Section:

Status: The feasibility study report has been officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Investment: 180.02 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Shanghai Baoshan Station, the line passes through Jiangsu and Anhui provinces and ends at Hefei South Station. The total length is 554.6 km.

 

Hefei to Wuhan Section:

Status: The feasibility study and preliminary design have been reviewed and approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Investment: 87.23 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Hefei, the line passes through Lu'an and Huanggang in Anhui before reaching Wuhan. The total length is 322.24 km.

 

Chongqing to Chengdu Section:

Status: Approved.

Investment: 69.273 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Chongqing North Station, the line ends at Chengdu Station. The main line is 292.032 km long.

 

Beijing-Shanghai Second Channel High-Speed Rail - Tianjin to Weifang Section:

Status: The project has been officially approved.

Investment: 78.758 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Binhai Station, the line passes through Tianjin, Hebei, and Shandong provinces before reaching Weifang North Station. The total length is 348.9 km.

 

Weifang to Suqian Section:

Status: Currently undergoing project approval procedures. Construction is planned for 2022.

Investment: 60.43 billion yuan.

Overview: The line runs from Weifang North Station to Yanghebei Station in Suqian, Jiangsu. The total length is 399.028 km.

 

Xiong'an New Area to Xinzhou High-Speed Rail:

Status: The environmental impact assessment report is being publicly consulted.

Investment: 57.234 billion yuan.

Overview: The main line is 342.661 km long, passing through Hebei and Shanxi provinces.

 

Xi'an to Chongqing High-Speed Rail - Ankang to Chongqing Section:

Status: The feasibility study report has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Investment: 123.722 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Ankang West Station, the line passes through various cities in Shaanxi and Chongqing before reaching Chongqing West Station. The total length is 477.9 km.

 

Nantong to Ningbo High-Speed Rail:

Status: Currently being reviewed by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Investment: 108.875 billion yuan.

Overview: The new line is 300.954 km long with a design speed of 350 km/h.

 

Xiangyang to Jingmen High-Speed Rail:

Status: Entering the environmental assessment publicity phase.

Investment: 18.5 billion yuan.

Overview: Starting from Xiangyang East Station, the line runs to Jingmen with a total length of 116.5 km.

 

Harbin to Tieli Railway:

Status: Currently in the preliminary design stage. Construction is expected to commence within the year.

Investment: 20.023 billion yuan.

Overview: The new railway is 188.057 km long, running from Harbin to Tieli in Heilongjiang.

 

Yangzhou-Zhenjiang-Nanjing-Ma'anshan Railway - Zhenjiang to Ma'anshan Section:

Status: Construction is planned for 2022.

Investment: About 24 billion yuan.

Overview: The line runs from Dantu Station in Zhenjiang to Ma'anshan South Station in Anhui, with a total length of about 121 km.

 

Pingdingshan to Luohe to Zhoukou High-Speed Rail:

Status: The second environmental assessment report and site selection opinion have been publicly announced.

Investment: 8 billion yuan.

Overview: The line runs from Pingdingshan West Station to Zhoukou East Station, with a total length of 199.679 km.
