Land pre-approval is one of the important preconditions for the approval of the project's engineering feasibility study, and it requires approval at the municipal, provincial, and national levels. The smooth approval of the land pre-approval is of great significance for accelerating the approval of the project's engineering feasibility study.
According to the "Post-Approval Announcement of Land Pre-Approval and Planning Site Selection Permit for the Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou-to-Huzhou Intercity Railway (Nanxun-to-Changxing Section)" released on the 18th:
Project Location: Nanxun District, Wuxing District, South Taihu Lake New Area, and Changxing County, Huzhou City
Pre-approval Status: The total land area is 130.7180 hectares, with the current land use status being 95.5679 hectares of agricultural land (including 34.7869 hectares of cultivated land, with 29.4312 hectares of permanent basic farmland; and 49.7917 hectares of standard farmland), 19.3221 hectares of construction land, and 15.8280 hectares of unused land.
Project Overview
The Huzhou section of the Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou-to-Huzhou Intercity Railway (Nanxun-to-Changxing Section) is located within the territory of Huzhou City. It is an important part of the multi-level rail transit system in the Yangtze River Delta region's metropolitan area intercity railway network and also an important part of the intercity railway network in the Huan Taihu Lake Metropolitan Area.
According to the plan, the Rudong-Nantong-Suzhou-to-Huzhou Intercity Railway (Nanxun-to-Changxing Section) starts from Nanxun Station (interchanging with the under-construction Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou Railway at Nanxun Station) and terminates at Changxing Station (interchanging with the Nanjing-Hangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line at Changxing Station), with a reserved line condition for extension north to Yixing at Changxing Station.
The entire line is 65.24 km long (including a 4.596 km co-linear section with the Water Town Tourism Intercity Railway from the Jiangsu-Zhejiang provincial boundary to Nanxun High-Speed Railway Station), with a total of 11 stations: Nanxun Station, Yangnan Station, Zhili Station, Balidian Station, Qiaonan Village Station, Yinshan Second Road Station, Yinshan First Road Station, Taihu Road Station, Tuying Station, Hongqiao Town Station, and Changxing Station. The railway is classified as a metropolitan area intercity railway with double main lines and a target speed of 160 km/h. The total investment is approximately 26.861 billion yuan, with direct engineering costs of approximately 15.483 billion yuan.
